We are just a few weeks away from our 8th grade trip to Washington, D.C. Over the next few weeks, you and your D.C. group will be creating a website that includes a web quest built through Thinglink and Weebly.
D.C. Project Directions:
1. Use assigned topic and presidents.
2. Create a plan with your group members of how work is going to be divided. Brainstorm ideas for pictures to be used.
3. Find images for topic/presidents assigned (at least one picture per person)
4. Find at least TEN reliable websites to tag.
5. Each tag will need at least FIVE questions that can be answered from the website tagged.
6. Website built through Weebly.
8. Website to include a summary of your topic (home page) with your group's information, pictures on individual pages, and questions that connect to your tags.
Keep in mind, all of this should be done in your Project Block notebook FIRST before working on Thinglink or Weebly. :)
*See Mrs. Chlystek for your group's log-in information for Thinglink and Weebly*
How to use Thing Link:
1. Log in using information above.
2. Open new internet tab and search for a picture to use.
3. Go back to thinglink.com and paste link into "Add from Web"
4. Find at least 10 websites to create tags.
5. Click on picture to add tag (web address and brief description). Continue to add tags.
6. At this point, you will need to go back to your tags/websites to write five questions that can be answered from the websites tagged. Type your questions in the description box where you have tagged the link to the website . Make sure to keep your TOPIC in mind!
7. Once you are finished with your picture, tags, and questions, click on the top left corner of your image. Click on the bottom image (EMBED) and copy and paste the link into your Weebly site..
Use your time wisely. We have lots to do! :)
