Museum Box: Introduction to United States History

This project will provide you with an opportunity to begin to develop background knowledge on several topics we will be covering throughout the school year.

Week of October 1, 2012
Tuesday: Survey-http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/Z8Z3S9C, introduction to project, discuss time periods, go over resources on this page, brainstorm interview questions, and log into Museum Box
Wednesday: Interview notes completed and checked, share interesting findings, assigned topics, align main ideas with topics, begin to research
Thursday: Learn about the 6 sides of the cube, go over guidelines for creating outlines and boxes, and continue researching and creating their outlines.
Friday: Research topics, create outlines and create detailed list of questions to ask family about their topic (over the weekend will interview family members)

Museum Box Requirements
- Two cubes w/ six sides (overall topic, two main ideas (cube 1 and cube 2), and supporting details for each main idea (cube 1 and cube 2)
- One picture per cube
- Side 1-image, side 2-important dates and references, side 3- why did this event occur & what were the consequences, side 4-important people and their role, side 5- description of the president/vp and his roles and/or government information, side 6-how has your life been affected by this event
