WWI Battles Mini-ProjectDirections: Once you are finished with the Introduction to WWI assignment, you will be focusing on learning about three of the most important battles of WWI. WWI remains one of the bloodiest and most destructive wars ever. Its global impact on humanity was devastating.
For this assignment, you will explore three of the major battles - The Battle of the Somme, The Battle of Verdun, and The Battle of Ypres. The finished product will be a one-page newspaper. Check your Google drive for the template. Do not forget to make a copy before you begin to add information.

Not only did people appeal to the state for help, but they also appealed to people in Washington, D. C. At the time, Mrs. Roosevelt was the wife of the President of the United States.
During the Great Depression, thousands of young people wrote to First Lady Eleanor Roosevelt for help. They asked for clothing, money, and other forms of assistance.
Directions: Choose one letter from each category to analyze: Request for clothes, request for money, request for bicycles, and request for luxuries. Complete letter analysis for each request (4 total).

Memories Of Those Who Were Young has made it possible of people who lived during the Great Depression to tell the public their stories and experiences. This archive has preserved stories for many generations to come and makes it possible of the youth and adults of today to learn first hand about the Great Depression.
